White Oak Wood Floors – Your Office Floors Will Look Marvelous
When it comes to style and elegance in floor finishing then undoubtedly the white Oakwood floors have a position in line for the crown. They are so naturally beautiful that many people opt for them over very many other expensive styles of floor finishing that are available. I am actually in a room with Solid Oak Wood Flooring as I write this right now.
The white Oak wood floors come from the hard Oakwood trees that are widely spread all over the USA. They are being given their names according to the exact conditions in which they are growing and how they are used as they are not just one type in the species. The common names that you must have heard about include the cow oak, basket oak, American white oak, Tanbark oak and the chestnut oak.
White Oak wood floors are not the only type of Oakwood floors that one can have fitted in their mansion. There is also the red Oakwood floor which has a deeper reddish tan than the white Oakwood floor. The white Oakwood floor is not white like a sheet of paper but basically light brown. One can also find them in creamish variations but they are not white as the name suggests.
One of the reasons that the Oak Hard Wood Floor are somewhat more popular than the red Oakwood floors is in their hardness. Hardwood floor manufactures have a system of rating the hardness of the wood called the Janka hardness. The white Oakwood comes in at 1, 360 while the red Oakwood scores 1, 290. The white Oakwood floors are harder than the red Oakwood floors hence their popularity among home owners.
There are also many more pros to the white Oakwood floors. For example they would be cheaper to buy and fit in than other floors like granite and marble which are considered lavish. They can however be just as competitive in their beauty as any other type of floor that is out there. More money does not always beat style and execution of what you are buying or doing.
White Oakwood floors will also come in so many selections that you can settle upon for your home. This is due to the technological advancements in manufacturing and staining or finishing. They are also from a large number of species so they are not all the same in qualities. The variety will assure you of one that will meet your specific needs in upgrading any room.
Of all the hardwood floors that are available, the white Oakwood has the lowest maintenance that is possible. They only have to be resealed (touched up) after about four to six years. The cleaning is just done regularly with a normal affordable hardwood cleaner and a hardwood protector can be added as an option. Otherwise all one has to watch out for is dragging heavy objects across it therefore scratching it and spilling liquids on it.
If you are really considering buying a White Oak Wood Floors then I would strongly encourage you to go ahead and do it.
